An escapade @ Legend Water Chalet

Finally, we reached Seremban station and we bought return tickets to Singapore. The ticket price was only MYR 30 per pax. We chose the midnight train so we could sleep on our way home.

Initially we thought of taking a bus to PD and then a cab to LWC. We might reach in another hour’s time but we were tired and famished already. Therefore, we decided to take a cab and grab some food from the KTM station all the way to LWC. They charged MYR 35 one way. It is a 30 minutes journey at high speed travelling. Along the way, we were somewhat lost and the driver made some wrong turns here and there, not too sure of its exact location. So take note LWC is just next to Glory Beach Resort. LWC does not seem to have much signage on the road it seems. Nevertheless, we reached about 1510 and we received a warm welcome from the staff who greeted us at the entrance. Our check-in was smooth and fast and they allocated us a room in level 9, highest being level 11.

We were anxiously anticipating for the room and as soon as the door opened, we caught sight of the huge bathtub! I was prepared to be greeted by a bathroom upon entering as I have seen images online, but he was caught by surprise and kept rambling about the lack of privacy should we receive guests at the door. The coziness impressed me and while checking out the bathtub, he called out to me from the balcony.

It was seventh heaven! Our room had a mesmerizing and panoramic sea view of the Straits of Malacca, was better than I had imagined. I could see the horizon, the long stretch of sparkling calm sea and the clear blue skies. Serenity was at its best and it was simply breathtaking. In the evening, our room had a clear view of sunset. It was so romantic and blissful!

At night, we decided to hunt for food outside and when we enquired at the reception, they advised that the nearest place is Giant. It was RM 20 one way for a 10-15mins drive. We thought it was expensive since we were riding in the hotel's Mercedes so we planned to get our own taxi or bus on our way back. It was about 2200 and after filling our stomach and groceries shopping, we searched for a taxi but found none. Lucky there was a nearby hotel opposite Giant and we inquired with a friendly Indian staff at the reception.

We were dismayed when told there were no buses after 8pm and taxi around the area is rare. She was kind to help us contact a taxi driver and he charged RM 20 to send us back to hotel. What luck! We had no options as the night was getting too eerie and I felt angry with myself for not doing enough research. We vowed to stay in hotel the whole of next day.
